These Terms and Conditions ("Legal Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Texture LLC ("Company," "we," "us," "our") concerning your access to and use of the Texture iOS application and any related services (collectively, the "Services").
By downloading or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Legal Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

Texture is an iOS application that uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized astrology interpretations based on your birth chart, including placements, transits, and daily horoscopes. The Services are intended for personal use only.
The information provided through the Services is not intended for distribution or use in any jurisdiction where such use would be contrary to law or regulation. Those who access the Services from other locations do so on their own initiative and are solely responsible for compliance with local laws.
We are the owner of all intellectual property rights in our Services, including all source code, functionality, software, AI systems, text, graphics, and content in the Services (collectively, the "Content"), as well as the trademarks, service marks, and logos contained therein (the "Marks").
All Content and Marks are protected by copyright and trademark laws and treaties around the world.
All astrological interpretations, horoscopes, transit readings, and other content generated by Texture is the original work of Texture LLC and is protected by copyright. Texture's AI system generates original interpretations and does not reproduce content from any third-party astrology service, publication, or practitioner. Astrological tradition, symbolism, and technique are part of the public domain accumulated over thousands of years. Texture's original contribution is the specific expression, synthesis, and delivery of this knowledge through its proprietary AI system.
Subject to your compliance with these Legal Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
Except as set out in this section, no part of the Services and no Content or Marks may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, distributed, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without our express prior written permission.
By using the Services, you represent and warrant that: (1) you are at least 18 years of age; (2) you have the legal capacity to agree to these Legal Terms; (3) you will not access the Services through automated or non-human means; (4) you will not use the Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose; and (5) your use of the Services will not violate any applicable law or regulation.
You may not access or use the Services for any purpose other than that for which we make the Services available. As a user of the Services, you agree not to:
We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to: (1) monitor the Services for violations of these Legal Terms; (2) take appropriate legal action against anyone who violates these Legal Terms; (3) refuse, restrict, limit, or disable access to the Services at our sole discretion; and (4) otherwise manage the Services in a manner designed to protect our rights and property and to facilitate the proper functioning of the Services.
These Legal Terms shall remain in full force and effect while you use the Services. We reserve the right to deny access to and use of the Services to any person for any reason or no reason, including for breach of these Legal Terms. We may terminate your use of the Services at any time, without warning, in our sole discretion.
We reserve the right to change, modify, or remove the contents of the Services at any time or for any reason at our sole discretion without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Services.
We cannot guarantee the Services will be available at all times. We may experience hardware, software, or other problems or need to perform maintenance, resulting in interruptions, delays, or errors. We reserve the right to change, revise, update, suspend, discontinue, or otherwise modify the Services at any time without notice to you.
These Legal Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. You irrevocably consent that the courts of California shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising in connection with these Legal Terms, except as otherwise provided in the Dispute Resolution section below.
To expedite resolution and control the cost of any dispute, the parties agree to first attempt to negotiate any dispute informally for at least 30 days before initiating arbitration. Informal negotiations commence upon written notice from one party to the other sent to help@gettexture.app.
If informal negotiations fail, any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Legal Terms shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration. The arbitration shall take place in California, United States. The governing law shall be the substantive law of California. The proceedings shall be conducted in English.
The parties agree that any arbitration shall be limited to the dispute between the parties individually. To the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) no arbitration shall be joined with any other proceeding; (b) there is no right for any dispute to be arbitrated on a class-action basis; and (c) there is no right for any dispute to be brought in a purported representative capacity on behalf of the general public.
The following disputes are not subject to the above provisions: (a) disputes seeking to enforce or protect intellectual property rights; (b) disputes related to allegations of theft, piracy, or unauthorized use; and (c) claims for injunctive relief. If this provision is found to be illegal or unenforceable, neither party will elect to arbitrate any dispute falling within that portion, and such dispute shall be decided by a court of competent jurisdiction in California.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN AS-IS AND AS-AVAILABLE BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES ABOUT THE ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF THE SERVICES' CONTENT AND WILL ASSUME NO LIABILITY FOR ANY ERRORS, MISTAKES, OR INACCURACIES OF CONTENT AND MATERIALS.
IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY, OUR LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER WILL AT ALL TIMES BE LIMITED TO THE LESSER OF THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CAUSE OF ACTION OR $100 USD.
CERTAIN STATE LAWS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, AND YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless, including our officers, agents, partners, and employees, from and against any loss, damage, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of: (1) use of the Services; (2) breach of these Legal Terms; (3) breach of your representations and warranties set forth in these Legal Terms; or (4) your violation of the rights of a third party. We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us.
All astrological interpretations, horoscopes, transit readings, and other content generated by Texture are provided for reflective and personal interest purposes only. They do not constitute medical, psychological, legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind. Texture LLC makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any interpretation for any particular purpose. No professional or advisory relationship of any kind is created between the user and Texture LLC by use of this app. Users assume full responsibility for any decisions made based on content generated by Texture.
Content within Texture is generated by artificial intelligence based on astrological tradition and your birth chart data. AI-generated interpretations may vary and are not guaranteed to be consistent across sessions. Texture LLC does not warrant that AI-generated content is error-free or that it accurately reflects any established astrological system. The AI content is intended as a starting point for personal reflection, not as definitive astrological analysis.
Texture uses third-party service providers to deliver its core functionality. Birth date, time, and location are transmitted to Vercel (vercel.com) solely for the purpose of calculating your astrological chart. This data is not stored by Vercel. Chart data (planetary positions and placements) is transmitted to Anthropic (anthropic.com) via Vercel solely for the purpose of generating personalized interpretations. For premium users, interpretation requests are routed through Vercel to Anthropic and the results are cached locally on your device. No data transmitted to Anthropic is linked to your identity or stored by Anthropic. Pre-generated content is served from Supabase (supabase.com), which does not receive any personal information. Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat (revenuecat.com).
Texture relies on third-party AI services to generate interpretive content. Texture LLC does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of AI-generated content and is not liable for any failure, delay, or interruption in content generation caused by third-party service outages, including but not limited to outages affecting Anthropic, Vercel, or Supabase. Pre-generated content may be available during outages. Texture LLC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire service at any time with or without notice, without liability to the user.
Astrological interpretations generated by Texture are based entirely on birth data provided by the user, including date, time, and location of birth. Texture LLC makes no representations regarding the accuracy of interpretations generated from incorrect or incomplete birth data. Users are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the birth information they provide. Interpretations generated from inaccurate birth data are not grounds for refund or dispute.
Texture LLC will make reasonable efforts to maintain app functionality and address bugs in a timely manner. However, Texture LLC does not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or function without defect on all devices or iOS versions. Texture LLC is not liable for any data loss, interruption of service, or failure of app functionality. Features may change or be removed in future updates.
Planetary positions used for transit interpretations are calculated once daily at midnight UTC. Interpretations generated on a given day reflect planetary positions at that calculation point and may not capture intraday planetary movements. Texture LLC makes no warranty regarding the precision of astrological timing and users should not rely on Texture for time-sensitive astrological decisions.
All user data in Texture, including birth data, saved insights, and generated interpretations, is stored locally on the user's device. Texture LLC does not maintain server-side backups of user data. Data may be transferred to a new device only through Apple's standard device backup and transfer process. Texture LLC is not liable for any loss of data resulting from device loss, damage, replacement, app deletion, or failure of Apple's backup process. Users are responsible for maintaining their own device backups.
Texture is intended for users 18 years of age or older. If a minor accesses the app, the minor's parent or legal guardian is deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions on the minor's behalf and assumes full responsibility for the minor's use of the app.
Users may capture and share screenshots of content generated by Texture for personal, non-commercial purposes. Shared content must not be represented as the user's own original work or as the work of any astrologer or astrological service other than Texture. Commercial use, resale, or bulk reproduction of any Texture-generated content is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from Texture LLC.
All personal data you provide — including your name and birth data — is stored locally on your device only. Birth date, time, and location are transmitted transiently to Vercel for chart calculation and are not retained. Chart data is transmitted to Anthropic for interpretation generation and is not linked to your identity. We are not responsible for loss or corruption of locally stored data. You may delete all data at any time via the Settings screen within the app.
There may be information in the Services that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice.
These Legal Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us. Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Legal Terms shall not operate as a waiver of such right or provision. These Legal Terms operate to the fullest extent permissible by law. We may assign any or all of our rights and obligations to others at any time. If any provision of these Legal Terms is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision is severable and does not affect the validity of any remaining provisions. There is no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship created between you and us as a result of these Legal Terms or use of the Services.
